N & J Design was formed originally in July 2001 as a Partnership, then incorporated to a Private Limited Company in April 2005.

The Company presently comprises of Directors Nicholas Keatley and his wife, Hayley who is responsible for the general office administration.
Nicholas entered the field of architecture and construction upon leaving school in 1987 when he undertook an apprenticeship with a traditional architectural practice based in Southampton, whilst attending Southampton Institute of Higher Education on a day release basis to obtain an HNC qualification in Building Studies in 1991. Nicholas then went on to work successfully within a number of local architectural practices as a Senior Architectural Technician until the formation of N & J Design.
Our office is equipped with the latest Autodesk Architectural and design software, as well as a large format colour plotter.
Our tailor-made service can range from feasibility schemes through to detailed construction drawings, Building Regulations and Tender packages. We work closely with a number of Structural Engineer’s, Land Surveyors, Energy Assessors and Planning Consultants in order to successfully manage and retain control of your project.
We are able to liaise with Local Planning Authorities from conception of your ideas, through to electronic submission of both Planning and Building Regulations applications.
Being based centrally in Hampshire, we regularly submit applications to the following Local Authorities; Eastleigh, Southampton, New Forest National Park, Winchester, Test Valley, Fareham and Salisbury, although we will be happy to work with any Local Planning Authority in the Country.
We hold an extensive portfolio of completed projects, including large house extensions, medium to large new build individual dwellings, restaurants (new and refurbishments) and mixed use High Street retail and residential developments. Specific examples from our portfolio are available on request.
